The Bengal Bratachari Society wholeheartedly follows the footsteps of its founder Sri Gurusaday Dutt and thus dedicates itself to the service of the society in every possible aspect. In this connection they choose to celebrate three major days in the year while performing service all the year round. May 10, the birthday of Sri Gurusaday Dutt is celebrated as Flag Day. This day is a day dedicated to social service. Blood Donation Camps, eye and health check ups completely free of cost are organized by varius units of the Bengal Bratachari Society. The Bratachari unit in Rajarhat, north 24 parganas organizes Blood Donation Camp every year. February 6 is celebrated as the Foundation Day of Bengal Bratachari Society and again on this day the various units spread across the territory of West Bengal organize events, camps that cater to the needs of the society and service of the people in general.June 25 every year is celebrated as a day for afforestation in Bratachari Gram, near Joka.Whenever our state is hit by a natural disaster like the Amphan or the Yash, the Bengal Bratachari Society through all its units tries its best to reach out to the affected areas with maximum relief measures possible…food, money clothing, medicine and other items of necessity . The society distributes blankets to the old and needy in times of winter, saris to poor women and so on.Different units of the society also perform Safai Abhijan or cleaning mission at different times of the year.
